Adolf Benda

Adolf Benda (1845–1878) was a Bohemian regional historian and jewelry craftsman. He was born as a German-speaking Bohemian in the town of Jablonec nad Nisou and is known as an author of the Geschichte der Stadt Gablonz (History of the Town of Jablonec nad Nisou) which was published in 1876-77, shortly before his death. This book was the first complete history of the town.
